Nearly an inch and a half of rain fell in the Triangle yesterday and more unsettled weather is expected through early Friday before changes arrive just in time for the holiday weekend.
Showers will be more spotty today, look for a couple of morning showers then mostly cloudy skies this afternoon with an isolated storm possible. Without the widespread rain, highs should reach the low 80s today after staying in the 70s yesterday.
An evening isolated storm is possible, otherwise it will be mostly cloudy tonight with lows in the 60s.

Wednesday will be our warmest day of the week, with a little more sun, highs should reach the mid 80s. There is only a slight risk of an afternoon or evening storm.
Thursday will see increased rain chances again as the cold front approaches North Carolina with highs around 83. There could be some storms Thursday night, but a severe weather outbreak is not expected.
There could be a couple early morning showers on Friday; but by midday, skies should be clearing and the humidity will be dropping like a rock. Look for clearing skies and low humidity on Friday afternoon with a high of 79.
The upcoming holiday weekend will feature dry weather and plenty of sunshine. Highs will be slightly cooler with lower humidity thanks to the cold front. Temperatures will reach the upper 70s both Saturday and Sunday.
Memorial Day 2013 will be mostly cloudy and dry with a high in the upper 70s.
