Storm Team 9 Forecast

Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. - Good Saturday to you! I'm Meteorologist Patrick Ellis with your STORM TEAM 9 FORECAST FOR EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA: A good chance of rain will impact Easter weekend as a significant low pressure system tracks up the U.S. East Coast.

EASTER WEEKEND:  Rain showers will be likely for all of eastern North Carolina on Saturday. Afternoon temperatures in the 50's will be chilly with the expected cloud cover, rain and brisk northeast breezes between 10 and 20 mph. Easter Sunday will also have a chance of rain, especially in the morning.  Keep this rain chance in mind as many churches will have Easter Sunrise Services.  Sunrise in eastern NC is around 6:30 am.  Scattered showers will also be possible into Sunday afternoon with highs in the lower to middle 60's under mostly cloudy skies.

A LOOK AHEAD: Warmer days back to near normal will be on the way into the new week. Next chance for any significant rain will come late Tuesday into early Wednesday with a weak frontal boundary that has the potential to spark some showers and thunderstorms.  For more weather details, check out Storm Team 9's Extended Forecast by CLICKING HERE.
