By Nbc17 Staff

Police continue to file sex charges against Paul Canally after a sixth victim has been identified, Clatyon Police confirm.

Canally, 29, is now facing an additional charge of statutory rape/sex offense with a person 13-14-15 years of age.

Authorities say the latest victim was 13-16 years of age when the alleged incidents occurred in August of 2009 at Canally's home. The identity of the victim is not being released by authorities.

Canally is already in the Johnston County Jail. He was arrested on Feb. 29 when the first victim came forward with several allegations. Police had also searched his home at the time of his arrest and confiscated child pornography.

More charges were filed Monday against Canally involving the fourth and fifth victims. He was charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child and two counts of sex offense with a student. Canally was also charged with one count of satutory rape offense.

Canally was already facing the following charges:

  • 13 felony counts of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor
  • 11 felony counts of indecent liberties with a child
  • eight misdemeanor counts of sexual battery
  • seven felony counts of statutory rape
  • two felony counts of sex offense with a student
  • one felony count of soliciting a child by computer

His total bond amount is now set at $2.63 million. Canally was set to appear in court Monday morning for charges stemming from victims four and five.

The investigation is still ongoing and authorities continue to investigate whether there may be more victims or additional charges to be filed. Anyone that may have additional information on the investigation is asked to call the Clayton Police Department.
