Thursday morning the Today Show will have an exclusive interview with Mike Bordeaux, the husband of missing Fort Bragg soldier Kelli Bordeaux.

Mike Bordeaux has largely remained silent since his wife's disappearance on April 14. Kelli went missing in the early morning hours after going to a bar the night before

She was reported missing by Fort Bragg after she did not report for duty on April 16.

Fayetteville Police Department will hold a search Thursday for evidence in connection with Kelli's disappearance. The search is open to volunteers from the public who are interested in helping Bordeaux, a Fort Bragg soldier who has been missing a week and a half.

A command post will be set up in the parking lot of the Cape Fear Valley Health System’s Health Pavilion North located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Ramsey Street and Andrews Road. Check-in for the search will be open from 9 to 9:45 a.m.

Volunteers will need to show a valid photo ID and sign in and out at the command post.  After check-in, search teams will be assigned to various locations around the North Fayetteville area. The search is expected to begin at 10 a.m. and run until all areas are searched.

Water will be provided, but volunteers should bring lunch and wear comfortable clothes.

The bar's owner, Steve Cantrell, said Kelli was at the bar with Nicholas Holbert, who lived in a tent behind the bar. Holbert reportedly gave Kelli a ride home from the bar, but says he dropped her off before they arrived at her house.

Holbert, who is a registered sex offender, was later arrested on an unrelated charge. He was charged with violating his sex offender status, which requires him to provide a new address within 10 days of moving.

He had not registered his new location behind the Froggy Bottoms bar within the required timeframe.

Cantrell was also arrested on an unrelated charge. He was charged with failing to appear in a Cumberland County courtroom on a driving while impaired charge from 2001.
