Former Supt. Tony Tata reflects on his tenure in an op-ed a week after being fired by the Wake County school board.
The article is in Friday's News & Observer and he touts the gains the school system made while he was in control.
He also pointed out that his personnel file only has positive information and that his departure was without cause.
"I wanted to continue to lead our school system through the challenges ahead," wrote Tata.
Tata also addressed system employees saying he was humbled and honored to serve as their leader.
