Fayetteville man charged with 159 counts of sex crimes involving teenage girls

Fayetteville Police arrested a 33-year-old man Wednesday in connection with sex crimes involving underage girls.

A 14-year-old and her guardian alerted Fayetteville police that the girl had been held against her will and forced to perform sexual acts with the man living at a residence on the 700 block of Windy Hill Circle.

The Fayetteville Police Department says detectives went to the residence to speak with the suspect, Christopher Jason Williams. Detectives were given permission to search the house by Williams, at which times detectives found a 15-year-old girl hiding inside.

An investigation revealed that the 15-year-old had been staying with Williams since May 2012. Williams had been having sexual relations with the girl since she started staying with him.

Police continue to investigate the incidents involving the 14-year-old accuser.

Williams is charged with 53 counts of statutory rape, 53 counts of taking indecent liberties with a child, and 53 counts of statutory sex offense. He is being held on a $1.3 million bond.
