Women in Henderson are taking extra care after three women in town, and another woman in Vance County, have been car-jacked at gunpoint before being released.
Kimberly Milam's cousin was a victim, and Milam said her cousin was taken at gunpoint in Henderson by two men. Milam remembers how her cousin was "crying and hysterical" after it happened.
Lt. Chris Ball of the Henderson Police said the last reported incident resulted in a sexual assault.
Asked if the attacker were getting more violent, Ball said, "Any car jacking or sexual assault we consider it to be a very serious crime."
The attacks have happened either late at night or very early in the morning.
