RALEIGH, N.C. -
North Carolina and N.C. State will both have nationally televised games on Thursday night ESPN telecasts, the ACC announced Monday in releasing the football schedules for the league.
UNC will play at South Carolina on Thursday, Aug. 29. N.C. State will have its Thursday game against Clemson on Thursday, Sept. 19.
Carolina plays its first home game on Sept. 7, against Middle Tennessee. State opens at home on Aug. 31 against Louisiana Tech in its first game under coach Dave Doeren.
Duke opens Aug. 31 at home against N.C. Central.
Here are some other key dates on the schedule:
Sept. 19: Clemson at N.C. State (Thursday)
Sept. 28: East Carolina at UNC
Oct. 5: N.C. State at Wake Forest
Nov. 2: UNC at N.C. State
Nov. 9: N.C. State at Duke
Nov. 23: Duke at Wake Forest; East Carolina at N.C. State
Nov. 30: Duke at UNC
Schedule notes: UNC's game with South Carolina concludes a home-and-home series that bean in 2007. UNC hasn't played in Columbia since 1990.
