Raleigh's burned Hibernian to open in December

Posted: Updated:
RALEIGH, N.C. -

The Hibernian Irish Pub and Restaurant is scheduled to open in December, nearly a year after a grease fire set the popular pub in downtown Raleigh ablaze on Dec. 26.

General Manager Gerry McDermott said Wednesday that demolition had just started at the Hibernian location in Glenwood South.

There are two other Hibernian locations - one in Cary and one soon to be opened in North Raleigh.

The new location in North Raleigh offers the same Irish pub environment as the other two and will be opening its doors at 8021 Falls of Neuse Road early next week.
