Homeless man in serious condition after downtown Raleigh stabbing

RALEIGH, N.C. -

A homeless man is in serious condition and another man is in police custody after a fight and stabbing took place late Monday night on S. Wilmington St. in downtown Raleigh.

According to Raleigh police officials, two men got into a fight with a homeless man and one of the men stabbed the victim, sending him to WakeMed.

Police have identified the victim as Michael Parker. Police say Parker was stabbed with a 4-inch pocket knife.

Police arrested and charged Robert Alan Noel, Jr., 33, with assault in connection with the stabbing.
