RALEIGH, N.C. -

Raleigh police arrested and charged three people with murder in relation to the death of Alfonso Rincon in October 2012.

Marcus Chapparo, 20, Erick Pardo Martinez, 17, and Karen Alexis Gonzalez, 18, are in custody and being held at the Wake County Jail.

According to Raleigh police, the three suspects killed Rincon on Oct. 31 around 1 a.m. on Foxhall Village Road.

A release by the Raleigh Police Department in November said Rincon could have been awakened by a noise outside his home and that he caught two men looking into one of his vehicles.

Rincon opened an exterior door to his residence and the men fled.

He told his family to call 911 and then left to look for the two men.

Witnesses said they saw two men near Rincon's house in a dark-colored four-door sedan. A short time later a gunshot was heard.

Police found the body of Rincon near the office of the apartment complex when they arrived.

Police are continuing to investigate the murder.
