Body found in Spring Lake

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is conducting a death investigation after a body was found in Spring Lake Tuesday night.

The body was found near 1st Street, which is located just blocks from Pope Air Force Base and Fort Bragg.

Investigators have not determined if foul play was involved or if the body is that of a man or a woman.
