RALEIGH, N.C. -

A Raleigh man was killed in a vehicle accident on U.S. 264 around 3 a.m. Saturday, police said.

Silvestre Marban Betancourt, 30, was driving westbound on U.S. 264  towards New Hope Road when he ran off the road.

Betancourt, of Evening Song Circle in Raleigh, overcorrected which caused the vehicle to flip and slide 151 feet before coming to a stop.

Betancourt was partially ejected from the vehicle. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

No one else in the car with Betancourt.

A tire and rim from Betancourt's vehicle struck the front bumper of a vehicle driven by Gregory Lamont Morris of Knightdale. Morris' vehicle received an estimated $500.00 worth of damage.

Alcohol is suspected to play a role in this accident.  Results of a blood test are pending.
