4-year-old Rolesville boy baffles doctors

Posted: Updated:
ROLESVILLE, N.C. -

Doctors from all over the world are calling the condition of a 4-year-old boy from Rolesville a medical mystery.

Caelon Arthur has already had six major strokes.

"Nobody fully knows what's going on. For three years they have done every test under the sun and then some," said Jennifer Arthur, Caelon's mother.

Caelon's inexplicable medical history is staggering.

He's undergone a brain biopsy, a temporal lobe biopsy, had numerous silent strokes, had to relearn to walk a few times and his latest stroke left him blind in his left eye.

But to his parent's amazement, Caelon has bounced back from every stroke. The Arthur family schedule revolves around their little boy.

Jennifer takes care of the doctor's visits while Tony, retired after 20 years with the U.S. Army, makes ends meet by working as a firefighter at the Rolesville Fire Department.

Caelon is still undiagnosed, as doctors say his condition is extremely rare and uncategorized.

The town of Rolesville is throwing a fundraiser for the family on April 27 to help with medical bills. The fundraiser will be held at the Corner of Redford Place Drive and S. Main Street in Rolesville. The event will begin at 11 a.m. They will be selling hot dogs, hamburgers, baked goods, cotton candy, snow cones, and other items.

Caelon and his family will be on hand to see and thank everybody.
