A Goldsboro woman was arrested Wednesday after authorities
said she stole over $33,000 from her employer.
An investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office found
that Barbara Jean Williams, 47, removed over $33,000 from her employer's bank
account from August 2012 to January 2013.
Williams was serving as caregiver to the victim at the time
of the thefts, law enforcement said.
Williams, of North John Street in Goldsboro, was charged
with larceny by an employee. She is being held at the Wayne County Jail under
