RALEIGH, N.C. -

More than 2,000 runners turned out in Raleigh Sunday afternoon to show support for those killed and injured in the Boston Marathon bombings.

Several running organizations and the Raleigh Police Department put together the event.

The runners ran a three-mile route from Moore Square to Western Boulevard and back.

Proceeds from the sale of T-shirts were to be routed to Boston victims and their families.
