CONWAY, S.C. -

A Conway woman was arrested over the weekend after police said she fought with her two children.

According to a Conway police report, Heather Michelle Hampton, 35, got into a fight Saturday morning at her home on Long Avenue Extension around 9 a.m. with her 11-year-old and 2-year-old sons.

When police arrived, visible injuries were noticed on both children and an odor of alcohol was detected on Hampton's breath, the report said.

The 11-year-old told police that he and Hampton got into a fight and she bit him on the head, neck and face.  He told police that during the fight, the 2-year-old was knocked down and she stepped on him.

The 2-year-old victim had a large scratch on his shoulder and chin, the report said.

Hampton was charged with two counts of unlawful neglect of a child and remains in custody at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
