Fayetteville roadway reopens after single-vehicle crash

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Country Club Drive near Ramsey Street in Fayetteville was closed for a few hours Monday morning after a vehicle struck a utility pole.

The accident happened around 3 a.m. Monday. Police say a 2005 Dodge Durango ran off the road and hit a utility pole.

All lanes of traffic on Country Club Dr. were closed for more than 3 hours as crews worked to repair the utility pole.

Police said the driver of the SUV fled the scene before officers arrived to the scene.
