Shaw University confirmed Friday that a student who resides off-campus has tested for tuberculosis.
Shaw said Wake County Human Services notified Shaw on Monday that a student had tested positive for TB.
Following guidelines issued from Human Services, a team of nurses from the department arrived on campus on Tuesday to test students, staff and faculty that may have been exposed.
The university said it is working closely with state officials to make sure people who may have been exposed get testing.
