RALEIGH, N.C. -

A Wake County Grand Jury indicted a Raleigh man on charges of murdering Jamie Hahn and attempting to murder her husband, Nation Hahn.

Jonathan Broyhill was indicted Monday on charges of first-degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Jamie Hahn. He is also charged with attempted first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill in an attack on Jamie Hahn's husband, Nation Hahn.

Law enforcement say Broyhill, 31, attacked Jamie and Nation Hahn in their home on April 22. Both Jamie and Nation Hahn sustained stab wounds in the attack; Jamie Hahn died two days later.

Broyhill is scheduled to appear in Courtroom 4D at the Wake County District Court Tuesday afternoon. He remains at Central Prison, where he was transported after being treated at WakeMed for self-inflicted wounds to his wrists.

Broyhill grew up in Lenoir with Nation Hahn and was extremely close to the Hahns, working with Jamie Hahn at her political consulting firm, Sky Blue Strategies.

Police have not yet announced any sort of motive for the killing, only saying the stabbing was "not domestic" in nature.

Former U.S. Representative Brad Miller says Broyhill was being investigated over financial discrepancies in Miller's 2010 campaign.
