3 'after hours' clubs ordered closed in Fayetteville

Posted: Updated:
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Three Fayetteville clubs have been shuttered after outside counsel filed a nuisance abatement lawsuit Monday.

Judge Floyd signed a temporary restraining order Monday preventing the clubs to open for the next 10 days.

The property on which Club Riddmiz, Up Top Sports Lounge and Basement Lounge are operated is owned by James and Chuncha Wang. The city says the clubs operate after hours, between 2:30 and 5:30 a.m. Friday through Saturday.

The property is the location of numerous calls for service, shootings and ALE violations over the past year. This weekend, officers patrolled the location and a number of patrons, 100 or more, arrived around 2:30 a.m. after other night time establishments shut down.

A hearing on the preliminary injunction will be on June 3 at 10 a.m.
