The Wake County Board of Commissioners is expected to vote its proposed budget Monday.
County leaders are looking at a $982 million budget, which is $44.5 million more than last year's budget. The proposed budget will keep the property tax rate the same for the fifth year in a row and increases the budget for education by $9.2 million.
Wake County leaders are looking at $9.1 million more for public safety and $4.8 million more for human services and public health.
Monday's meeting begins at 2 p.m.
