More charges filed in deadly Hillsborough St. hit-and-run

Adetoye Taoheed Adekanmbi is charged with two counts of felony hit and run causing bodily injury or death, and one count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
RALEIGH, N.C. -
A Cary man charged in connection with a deadly hit and run
early Saturday morning is now charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
Around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, Natalie Chidlaw and Meghan
Clark, both 18 years old, were hit by a car at the intersection of Dixie Trail
and Hillsborough Street near N.C. State.
Chidlaw died at the scene and Clark was rushed to Wake Med
with severe injuries. Clark is expected to recover from her injuries.
On Sunday, Adetoye Taoheed Adekanmbi, 33, is charged with
two counts of felony hit and run causing bodily injury or death, and with
driving while license revoked. Tuesday, Adekanmbi was rearrested and charged
with one count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
