A man was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire sparked in a Knightdale home Saturday night.
Firefighters responded to Maple Street in Knightdale around 10:40 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived only one person was found at the home.
The occupant was transported to WakeMed for treatment of smoke inhalation and was later released.
Knightdale fire Chief Tim Guffey said there is significant damage throughout the home.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
