GOLDSBORO, N.C. -

A verbal argument resulted in a man being hit in the face and head with a hammer in Goldsboro.

Just before 2 p.m. Saturday, Goldsboro police responded to the 900 block of N. John Street regarding a male subject who had been hit in the head with a claw hammer.
