DURHAM, N.C. -

Four rotary clubs in Durham are partnering with a non-profit to "Fill that Bus!" for Durham Public Schools on August 3.

The partnership with Crayons2Calculators brought in over $30,000 in school supplies.

The Rotarians and buses will be at two locations Saturday. One will be at the parking lot of the Sam's Club and Office Depot at 4001 Chapel Hill Blvd. The second will be outside the Renaissance Village Chick-fil-a at 7836 Leonard Drive.

Newman Aguiar/rotary club 30:44 "Certainly, they need it now more than they have needed it in the past as supplies budgets have been slashed and so schools have had to make due with fewer supplies," said Rotary Club member Newman Aguiar. "So, it's become really important for the community to step up an support our teachers in this way."

If you did not get a chance to donate to this drive, dontations can always be made to the "Crayons2Calculators" organization.

In addition, over 150 local businesses  will have collection bins for the public to drop off supplies.

The drive hopes to bring in over $50,000 worth of school supplies this year. The rotarians think about $12,000 of that may come from the drive Saturday.
