Storm knocks down trees, knocks out power in Triangle

RALEIGH, N.C. -

Crews worked to restore power and clean up car crashes after storms moved through the Triangle Saturday night.

In Raleigh, a power knocked out these traffic lights along Avent Ferry Road , near the intersection with Athens Drive.

In Cary, crews powered up the intersection of Maynard and East Chatham while buildings nearby remained dark around 9 p.m.

Near Durham, a tree fell onto power lines on Wrenn Road. As smoke rose from the, neighbors waited for crews to clean it up and restore their power.
