WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN (WJHL) -

According to Washington County Sheriff Ed Graybeal, deputies responded to a shooting at 181 Berry Ridge Road and upon arrival officers found Kristin Cutshaw Bennett 24, of 218 Patton Ridge Drive in Jonesborough, suffering a gunshot wound after she was allegedly shot by Amanda Hartley, 32.

Dispatchers say they received the call around 1:40 am Friday.

After further investigation, it was found that the two women - who are sisters-in-law - had a history of disputes and vandalisms over the past couple of weeks.

This time, Cutshaw allegedly came towards Hartley with a kitchen knife - that's when, Amanda Hartley then fired shots striking Cutshaw.

Cutshaw was transported to an area hospital where charges are pending upon her release. At this time, the investigation is continuing and more charges are possible.
