Fired NCCU football coach fighting for job

Former North Carolina Central Football Coach Henry Frazier has hired a lawyer in an attempt to get his job back.

Frazier was fired Aug. 22 after being charged with violating a domestic violence protective order at the Cary residence of his ex-wife, Lanier Turner-Frazier on Aug  19. He was later released on a $5,000 bond.

In a letter to Chancellor Debra Saunders-White, attorney Linda Kenney Baden said, "Frazier contends that NCCU has intentionally, egregiously and materially violated its duties to him under the contract.

Assistant head football coach Dwayne Foster will serve as interim head football coach. Foster was hired by NCCU in 2011 as assistant head coach, recruiting coordinator and offensive line coach.
