Cat survives two months in foreclosure home

Posted: Updated:

Wyatt, an adult male cat, was found a week ago locked in a foreclosed home where it had been for two months without food or water.

A neighbor of the foreclosed home had spotted Wyatt in a window.

When a maintenance worker showed up at the home the neighbor asked him to look for the cat.

Wyatt was taken to an animal shelter for treatment. Officials said the cat weighed 6 pounds, less than half what it should weigh. The shelter manager said Wyatt was likely only a day or two away from dying when they rescued him.

Officials at the shelter say the road to recovery is long. Staff is hopeful Wyatt can make a full recovery.
