GREENVILLE, N.C. - More than 16 forklift operators from eight different companies in the east battled it out to be named number one in safety today.

Pitt Community College and Greenville Utilities hosted a forklift rodeo at Overtons in Greenville Friday morning.

Operators drove through three different obstacle courses while judges watched for safety violations.

Organizers with Pitt Community College say the key to the event is bringing companies together and highlighting the importance of safety.
