3rd suspect wanted in connection with Chapel Hill shooting

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -

Chapel Hill Police said Tuesday that they are now looking for a third suspect wanted in connection with a shooting on Pope Road.

Police are looking for Jaheem Rashard Watson in connection with the Sept. 24 shooting of 45-year-old Kenneth Hardin.

Hardin was found with gunshot wounds to his hand and abdomen. He was taken to UNC Hospitals where he was treated and released.

Two other suspects have been charged in connection with the shooting, Rahmil Ingram, 21, and Jahmil Ingram, 19.

Rahmil Ingram is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill - inflicting serious injury, first-degree burglary, second-degree kidnapping, discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling and two counts of assault by pointing a gun.

Jahmil Ingram is charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree kidnapping, and related conspiracy charges.

Police do not believe the shooting was a random act.
