RALEIGH, N.C. -

N.C. State freshman point guard Anthony "Cat" Barber sustained a concussion during basketball practice on Oct. 1., the school said Wednesday.

Barber's status is day-to-day.

The McDonald's All-American is not practicing until he is cleared by the school's athletic training staff and team physicians.

Barber's injury occurred during a loose-ball scramble during the team's first official workout. He collided with sophomore teammate T.J. Warren, who was uninjured.
