Man killed after argument in St Petersburg

ST PETERSBURG, FL (WFLA) -

Police detectives are investigating a murder of a man in St Petersburg early Friday morning.

Sgt. T.A. Skinner of the St. Petersburg Police Department said that 21-year-old Caleb Scott and another man got into an argument around midnight at a gas station located in the 2700 block of 5th Avenue South.

The man pulled a gun and shot Scott in the upper body.

According to Skinner, Scott was taken to Bayfront Medical Center where he died as a result of his injuries.

Detectives are following up on a number of leads but are still unsure why Scott was shot.
