KNIGHTDALE, N.C. -

Police arrested a 20-year-old Raleigh man Oct. 9 for telling authorities a shooting would occur at Knightdale High School.

Knightdale police said Dominique Q'Shawn Whitaker, of Spangler Springs Way, was arrested and charged with filing a false report of mass violence on educational property.

An arrest warrant for Whitaker shows he told authorities of a threat to "shoot up" Knightdale High School, knowing it was a false claim.

Whitaker was transported to the Wake County Jail and held under $5,000 bond.
