The driver of a demolition derby car suffered minor injuries Sunday at the North Carolina State Fair when his vehicle overturned.
Donald Stokes, of Goldsboro, was transported to the hospital as a precaution after he was freed from his overturned derby car Sunday.
It took about 10 minutes to free Stokes after his car flipped.
State Fair spokesman Brian Long said organizers expect incidents like this to occur during the demolition derby.
A public school in Raleigh for disabled children is set to open next month but organizers desperately need donations to get the school up and running.
