Sign on Glenwood Avenue causes controversy

Posted: Updated:
RALEIGH, N.C. -

Dozens have signed a petition asking a Raleigh realtor to remove a sign they say is an eyesore in downtown.

The petition is asking Doro Taylor to take down a sign at her office at the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and Peace Street. Complaints call the sign tacky and call it is a distraction to drivers.

Taylor says she is being bullied to take it down.

"They've just been so rude about this thing. They've been beating me up. I'd have taken it out a long time ago but you can't bully people like this," Taylor said.

Neighbors have asked the City of Raleigh to take action on the sign. But some city council members aren't sure they want to go that far.
