WNCN Blitz visits Leesville Road HS for pep rally

RALEIGH, N.C. -

For this week's Friday Blitz pep rally, WNCN Today visited Leesville Road High School in Raleigh.

WNCN's Page Crawford was on the scene as enthusiastic students came out to show support for their school ahead of Friday night's game against Wakefield. Students began preparing for the early morning, tweeting #prideoversleep.

The Leesville band was on display, as were cheerleaders, the football team and, other student athletes. Leesville is 8-20 overall and 5-1 in conference play. Tonight, the Pride takes on the Wolverines of Wakefield High School for the conference title. Wakefield is 9-1 overall and 5-1 in conference play.

Tonight's game is at 7 p.m. at Leesville Road High School.
