UNC student arrested after falling asleep in women's rooms

Posted: Updated:
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -

A UNC student was arrested early Sunday after he entered the rooms of female students and fell asleep.

According to the Alert Carolina system, UNC-Chapel Hill police were called to Granville Towers West around 2 a.m. when a resident said she awoke to find a male student had entered her room and fallen asleep on her bed.

The alert says the man left when asked, but tried the same thing in the room of another female student.

Once again, he left the room when asked. But the alert says he tried to enter several other rooms on the second floor hallway before he was arrested.

He's charged with two counts of breaking and entering and was being held in the Orange County jail.
