Murder suspect turns self into Goldsboro authorities

GOLDSBORO, N.C. -

A Goldsboro man wanted in connection with an October murder has turned himself into authorities.

The Goldsboro Police Department had been searching for Lester Clinton, Jr., 29, in connection with the shooting death of Alton Fields Jr. Fields was killed on Oct. 15 on Deveraux Street.

Clinton surrendered himself on Sunday, Nov. 11 at the magistrate's office. Clinton was placed in the Wayne County Jail.

Clinton is the second named suspect in the investigation. James D'Angelo Raye was arrested and charged with murder on Nov. 14.
