500 turkeys given away in Kinston

KINSTON, N.C. - Kinston native and New York Jet, Quinton Coples, returned to his hometown to give back just time for the holidays.

On Monday, Coples, his family, and management team held two free turkey giveaways in Kinston.

Coples gave away a total of 300 turkeys between the two events.

The first giveaway was held at the St. John’s Village Apartment, where every apartment received a turkey.

The second giveaway was held at the Piggly Wiggly on Heritage Street. People line up as early as 3p.m. to be one the first 200 people to receive a free turkey.

The Coples family says they hope make this an annual event.
