Gift Guide: Decorating, Football, Shopping and Santa

My Carolina Today Gift Guide.

Good evening, I'm Valonda Calloway and I'm Mike Morse and we are at Crabtree Valley Mall - where when you walk into this place it instantly feels like the holidays.  I can't remember the last time I was here where I wasn't carrying a bunch of bags for my wife; I love this place!

Now is the time when everyone is sitting around, enjoying each other's company, and about to watch the game.  The Ravens Vs. The Steelers.  Do you have a pick?  Mike and Valonda are both pulling for the Steelers.

If you're a man, you know that this weekend you'll have to drag all of the Christmas decorations out of the attic and start decorating... and I dread that!  Especially being here at the beautifully decorated mall, it makes you feel so small because there is no way we could ever make our house look this cool!  Producer Kim told me that she likes her Christmas to be tacky; nothing matching and putting up the things the kids have made in school.  Do you like everything "matchy-matchy"?  My wife does.  We bought a white tree with bright colored decorations but it still has that Christmas feel.  Our family tradition is to purchase a new ornament every year to signify something in our family and put it on the tree.  What about you?  I like to put the things that Lilyn has made on the tree and mix it with some traditional stuff because it gives it personality.  It's her house and it's her tree too so I like to do that.

You're looking very dapper.  Thanks so do you.  We LOVE Tommy Bahama here at Crabtree Valley Mall.  They've been a big clothing sponsor of ours for a while and we had the chance to shop here.  Tara greeted me and I don't know what it is about their clothes but this is some of the softest stuff I have ever worn in my life.  RIGHT!  The shoes are amazing and I get more compliments on them than any other pair of shoes I've ever had.  What about you?  I love this outfit; It's so soft.  You might look at it and think it's "itchy", but it's not.  It's soft on my skin, the jeans fit like a glove and I'm in love with the clothes.

Well we're here for a reason.  We're highlighting great things you can give people over the holidays, but first...  we've got to go see Santa!

Hey Santa!  Where are your reindeer?  Close by.  Have the kiddies in the Triangle been good? Oh yes.  What about the adults?  They say they have but I might watch them!  Is there any toy you keep hearing about that they want the most?  Video games and telephones.  You're a busy man.  Oh yes.  Lot of work to do and there's only a few weeks left Santa.  Won't be long! Don't get stuck in my chimney this year.  No, I can make it in and out; pretty slick.  Ok, alright.
