Reward offered in Fayetteville armed robbery

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

The owner of Southview Sanitation is now offering a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible for a Nov. 15 robbery.

Cumberland County authorities are still looking for suspects wanted in connection with robbing Southview Sanitation on Lawndale Street.

Sheriff's detectives said the suspects robbed the business of its payroll shortly before 5 a.m. Friday.

The suspects pointed a gun at an employee that was getting out of a truck and demanded that he hand over the money.

One suspect was described as having dark skin however both of their faces were covered with dark bandanas.

As the suspects were fleeing the scene, they fired shots from a .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol. Two of the shot struck the employee's truck, but no one was injured.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office at 910-323-1500.
