Raleigh police investigate early morning homicide

RALEIGH, N.C. -

Raleigh police said officers are investigating the death of a man as a murder Saturday morning.

Police said emergency workers responded to the intersection of South Blount Street and Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. around midnight concerning an injured 38-year-old man. 

The injured man, later identified as Steven Bradley Dockery, was transported to WakeMed where he later died, police said.

Dockery's death is being investigated as a homicide, according to Raleigh police.
