ECU basketball team spreads Christmas cheer at children's hospital

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. - Spirits were made a little brighter Tuesday morning at the James and Coney Maynard Children's Hospital.

The East Carolina men’s basketball team stopped by to spread a little Christmas cheer to all of the children.

The team signed posters, took photos, and even did a little caroling singing ‘Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer’. ECU guard Akeem Richmond says it is all about giving back to the community.

“It makes us realize how blessed we are. Like I said, anytime you can do something good in life you want to do that. Anytime we can give back, we are going to do that,” said Akeem Richmond, ECU guard.

The ECU Pirates will be home this Thursday night at 7 p.m. for a game versus VMI.
