To keep sandwich buns from drying out, apply a layer of Vaseline.
Since real ice cream melts, the stuff you see in ice cream ads is like a mixture of sugar, shortening, corn syrup, and coloring.
Fresh fruit dries out and goes brown quickly. To avoid this, food stylists will paint fruit with a mixture of water and a product called Quick Thick, which makes the fruit glisten.
