NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A woman thought to have died a few years ago was in a Nashville courtroom Wednesday to face shoplifting charges.

Sarah Moretti, 37, was first arrested in February 2011 for stealing from the Macy's store at the Mall at Green Hills.

The case was closed because a death certificate showed she died of a drug overdose in May of that year.

The case was re-opened after Moretti was arrested again for shoplifting at the Dillard's store at Rivergate Mall in March of 2012 and the Macy's in Green Hills in December of last year.

Paramedics were called to the courtroom Wednesday after Moretti cut her wrist in an attempt to take her own life.  She was unsuccessful and left the courtroom on a stretcher.
