Traffic stop leads to drug charges for New Bern man

NEW BERN, N.C. - A New Bern man is facing numerous drug charges after a traffic stop.

Deputies say when they stopped Ronald Allen Tucker Jr. for driving with his license was revoked, a vehicle search turned up 109 prescription pills, a quantity of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Tucker was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Trafficking opium by transportation, 2 counts Trafficking opium by possession , 3 counts possession with intent to manufacture sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance, possession of cocaine, Possession of drug paraphernalia and DWLR.

He's in the Craven County Detention center under a $201,500 secured bond.
