Orphaned cougar cubs headed to NC Zoo

Posted: Updated:
ASHEBORO, N.C. - North Carolina is about to get a couple of new cougar cubs.  They're on their way to the zoo in Asheboro.

A hunter in Oregon killed their mother and then noticed she had the cubs.  He said he regretted it afterward.  So he gathered up the cubs and took them to a zoo in Oregon.

The cubs will stay there until they're strong enough to travel to our state.
