The lockdown was lifted at Richmond Hill High School just after 1pm Friday.

No explosive devices were found.

Here's the statement from Dr. Paul Brooksher, Superintendent of Bryan County Schools.

As a school and school system, we take all incidents very seriously and seek to take every precaution we can to ensure the safety of our students and school staff.  We want thank you for your patience and understanding as we worked to maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone involved.  Richmond Hill High School has been given an "all clear" by law enforcement and we look forward to them having a productive rest of their day and wonderful three day weekend.  "I want to thank local law enforcement, the RHHS students and staff for handling a difficult situation in a very professional manner," said Dr. Paul Brooksher, Superintendent.

News 3 has learned from school officials Richmond Hill High School in Bryan County is on lockdown.  We have crews on the scene.  Richmond Hill Police tell News 3 they are searching the school because of a bomb threat.  They also say earlier this morning there was a report of a student with a weapon.  Police responded and found no weapon on the student.  All other schools in the area are operating as normal.  We will bring you more information as it become available.
